Abstract

Prototyping an electric formula student vehicle came with its new set of safety concerns. The project mainly aims at

addressing these issues and resolving the same using majorly electronic circuitry. The major concerns were close to eliminated with the concepts of TSAL (Tractive System Active Light), APPS (Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor), RTDS (Ready To Drive Sound), IMD

(Insulation Monitoring Device) and BSPD (Brake System Plausibility Device). The sensors were programmed and iterated to fit the requirement. The assembly of the devices on the functional car without affecting the performance of the car was achieved and hence improving the overall safety of the car.
