Abstract

Breast Cancer is one of the most dangerous forms of cancer faced by a woman every year across the world. Despite having medical methods like MRI, Mammography, ultrasound and many other methods are available, each of this method has its limitation due to poor tissue contrast. All this would resultas mis-diagnosis of breast cancer patients and the best precautions is detecting the breast cancer at its beginning stages and curing it. this paperpresents the detection of presence of cancer tumours in womenbreast by the variation of S11 parameter of a deigned microstrip patch antenna by utilising microwave breast imaging (MBI) Technique. To get the desired response, a microstrip patch antenna will be designed in ultra-wideband (UWD) along with this, different type of breast phantoms is designed which are utilized to detect the presence of tumours cells in the breast. The antenna andbreast phantom have been designed using CST design tool and its various parameters i.e., reflection coefficient, efficiency, SAR have been evaluated to reach the goal of the aim. The main reason for using this method is due to the advantages and improved detection rates it offers and it will not cause any side effects with low cost and better efficiency.
