Ecological Assessment of Building Materials in Serbia: Constrains and Possibilities

Abstract

Building materials make significant impact on the environment, hence their ecological performance became one of the key sustainability topics. To determine environmental impact of a material, it is necessary to examine the phases of its life cycle, by using the established method. Unified assessment methodology enables comparison between different materials and the selection of more ecologically friendly option.
