Disability and Public Space – Case Studies of Prishtina and Prizren

Abstract

Independent movement is a precondition for independent living and full participation of disabled citizens, which is guaranteed by
the United Nations Convention and applicable laws of the Republic of Kosovo. Disabled citizens should have the equal right of access
to public spaces as all other citizens. Discrimination occurs when they are not treated equally with others.
