Abstract
Claims are often caused by changes in owner requirements, extra work, delays/acceleration, differing site conditions, and contract ambiguity. Some claims sometimes escalate into legal disputes because the negotiation process between the owner and the contractor fails to produce mutually agreeable solutions.
