Abstract

We can watch every time that anofficer will be standing in front of every home from the electricitydepartment, whose work is to take the reading of the current energy meter and they will be hand overing the particular current bills to the owner of the particular home every first day of month.  According to the displayed readings on the meter we have to pay the electricity bills. The main limitation of this system is thatanofficial from the electric department has to go to every home in his allotted area and he has to take the readings from the meter of every individual home in that particular area and he has to print the current bill through a machine and handover the current bill to the respective owners. Due to this system from electric board, many errorswill be introduced like extra amount in bill or message notifications from the electricity department even though the electric bills are paid before the due date. These are some of the most commonly seen errors in this system. So, in order to overcome or eradicate this issues and problems we have analysed the situation and have come up with an idea where we will be able to eradicate theseerrors betweenthe third party i.e., officer from the board of electricity, consumers and the current department. In this paper are going to use Arduinoboard because of its efficiency and low power. Theenergy or current meters which are already installed have to be modified so that the old meters become efficient and smart.
