Vehicle monitoring system using image processing

Abstract

This project facilitates real time pursuit of an automobile and seeks to minimize the possibility of deaths by delay in the arrival of aid by alerting the concerned people about the mishap (unwanted accident) of the vehicle. According to a government survey, drowsiness and drunk driving constitute to 22 and 33 percent of accidents respectively in India. The quantity of lives lost can be decreased if the help can be acquired at the soonest. To develop such a system which can notify the concerned people about the mishap and health condition of driver is achieved by using sensor such as accelerometer, bumper sensor (crush sensor), heart beat sensor and temperature sensor interfaced with ESP32 which acts as the controller, along with this system, image processing is used for drowsiness detection. The accelerometer detects the accident by a change in present value of the vehicle orientation and sends the location through geo-location of the mobile without any indulgence of the driver or passengers. Also through IOT we can have the information to the Guardian. The arranged framework means to scale back passings in street mishaps by a serious percent
