Base Station Set-up for Transmission of Real-Time Sensor Data using Li-Fi and Wi-Fi tecchnology

Abstract

The space for radio frequency has become over saturated resulting in what is known as Spectrum Crunch, eventually radio frequency technology such as Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) will no longer keep up with demand in the future, However Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) does not uses radio frequency, instead it uses Light Spectrum which provide 1000 time more spectrum than radio. In the proposed system, we developed a base station setup of Wi-Fi and Li-fi that demonstrate the secure transmission of real time data through encryption standard like rotation -13 (rot-13).  The system automatically converts the bytes of data into a stream of pulses which in turn gets transmitted through light source such as laser. The value of real time sensor DHT11 and DHT22 has been incorporated to demonstrate the transmission of instant reading. By implementing the proposed prototype, the important in Light revolution is achieved were safe wireless communication with unprecedented data and bandwidth for faster communication is achieved.
