Abstract

Our project Navigation Based Traffic Management And Safety aims to improve the current condition of traffic problems in our nation and help manage traffic through automated warning system which will help reduce accidents and control traffic in a much efficient way than what has been established. We hope to achieve this goal by managing traffic efficiently through an IoT based warning system. In our nation there are certain common measures that have been taken to control traffic but that doesn’t seem to serve the purpose, we are still able to witness traffic jams, accidents and other unnecessary incidents. Most of us are oblivious to lane discipline that needs to be followed, but who can complain? Everyone is in a rush. What if there was a system put in place that provides prior warning and indication about the direction one’s vehicle takes? It would make things quite simple and people could finally follow lane discipline without the loss of time. Our project preaches the very idea mentioned above. Therefore, our project is important as it can manage traffic efficiently, improve the time taken for a person to reach his destination and save lives by preventing accidents. We hope that our project can control traffic, prevent accidents and also minimize the work load of the traffic police so that they may invest their time on other “important affairs”.
